So many people ask me how many Bridezillas I’ve come across. And really, the number is very very low. I think part of it has to do with the fact that Cedarway doesn’t really advertise heavily so about 75% of our wedding shoots came about word of mouth from other wonderful people. The fact is, I’ve dealt with way way more Momzillas than I have Bridezillas! And I absolutely have to take up for most of the Momzillas. Momzillas are different, they are crazy because they feel the pressure to make sure that everything goes perfect for her daughter. Unless there are a couple of coordinators there, the moms end up doing a lot of detailed work. I’ve had countless times when the mom is still in her t-shirt and jeans when it is time for photos to start because she has been running around worrying about everyone else instead of getting herself dressed! Momzillas are crazy most of the time because they just want the best for their little girl. Bridezillas are just plain selfish!

So all that to say, take care of your mom before and during the big day. I know my mom was stressed on my wedding day because I didn’t realize until after the wedding how much responsibility she had given herself. Take care of her even if she doesn’t want you to worry over her!
